We are awaiting the latest dates for 2010/11 and will post them here as soon as avaialble.

Naturegarten

We have added a number of great new facilities outdoors. These include :-

• Our new Gazebo
• Our "Orb" - the great meeting place for children
• Our allotment area is now complete and we are growing vegetables such as carrots, onions, beetroot, potatoes.
• Our Potting Shed is now up.
• Our "hill" is currently being lanscaped and will have tunnels to crawl through.

Communication, the development of language skills is a key factor for a developing child, delay and other problems can cause frustration and delay in all other areas of development, this is why our curriculum has communication at the very top of our list for daily focus.

Margaret is a Hanen trainer of ‘It takes two to talk’ this is an early language intervention programme which supports family and nursery. The Hanen training along with ‘Little voices’ our programme developed at The Lakes in conjunction with Speech Therapists is having a huge impact on the development of children’s language skills. The awareness begins in our ‘Owl’ room.
